Shasta Abbey Buddhist Monastery

Shasta Abbey Buddhist Monastery, near Mount Shasta, California, is a training monastery in the Serene Reflection Meditation tradition of the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives. Founded by Rev. Master Jiyu-Kennett, it supports a resident monastic community and offers retreats, ceremonies, teachings, spiritual counseling, meditation, and chanting. Public visits and Sunday programming are available by arrangement through the abbey’s current visitor schedule.
