Gyobutsuji Zen Monastery

Gyobutsuji Zen Monastery is a small monastic community located in the Ozark mountains of Northwestern Arkansas, devoted to the practice of zazen within the Soto Zen tradition. It follows the contemporary Soto Zen styles of Kosho Uchiyama Roshi and Shohaku Okumura Roshi, emphasizing the practice of shikantaza (just sitting). The monastery aims to realize the ancient teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha and Eihei Dogen Zenji through sincere practice as a universal offering. It is led by Shoryu Bradley and serves as a place for meditation and spiritual development.
